The spring semester is underway! Between getting the kiddos acclimated to their daily routine and having to go back to work, your day can get pretty hectic. Check your pantry, because you may already have these foods!
First off, what’s a superfood? Superfoods are foods that significantly contribute to our health, well beyond their nutritional value.
Blueberries are anti-inflammatory and aid in preventing Alzheimer’s disease. Snack on them alone or add them to your granola or yogurt parfait.
Nuts and Seeds
Studies have shown that nuts and seeds support reductions in CVD, inflammation, and death. Create your own trail mix or add them to salads.
This staple spice aids with blood sugar response, helping insulin receptors respond better to blood sugar. Top your oatmeal with a dash of cinnamon or add it as a flavor bomb to your smoothies.
