  1. Dear Ali, I am pregnant with Twins and just found out I have gestational diabetes? Do you have any different advice for that except for diet. I have to test blood glucose levels in morning and then two hours after each meal (per the diabetes coach they make you see?). It is TRUE that they say you need more carbs and you should be getting betweens 150 and 180 a day. That seems crazy!

    • Congrats so exciting! No that is not true and does not biologically make sense. I recommend as Lily Nichols, RD does to eat to regulate your blood sugar levels don’t chase your blood sugar with carbs. There may be adjusted ranges for twins as well to take into account, but I am not certain on that. She is a great resource on GD and has Real Food for Gestational Diabetes book.
